La visita della scuola estone al nostro istituto si è svolta dal 12 al 15 novembre 2024.
Il gruppo estone era così composto: tre studentesse, una docente accompagnatrice, una docente di Inglese per job shadowing e la dirigente scolastica.
Il progetto della scuola estone, intitolato “Language and heritage – the basic values of Europe” e coordinato dalla professoressa Merike Sikk, si è posto come obiettivo principale lo sviluppo di abilità di cittadinanza europea attraverso la conoscenza del patrimonio storico-culturale dei paesi partner.
Di seguito uno stralcio della sintesi del progetto “Language and heritage – the basic values of Europe”:
“We want to help students become more active European citizens by increasing their knowledge of European cultural heritage (historic buildings, customs, traditions, famous people, etc.) through direct contacts. Students get to know the educational system in the host countries by visiting classes and interacting with their peers. The plan is also to develop students’ cooperation skills during the cooperative work increating an interactive map of Europe. The work would be carried out in the eTwinning platform parallel to the student mobilities.
Teachers learn to use digital tools more widely in their work and focus on learning the possibilities of integrated language learning in order to use them in their school and to create further cooperation projects with European partners.
During the job shadowing of teachers, we plan to get to know the educational system of the partner countries, visit various classes in schools, exchange thoughts and experiences with the colleagues. We would like to improve our knowledge of the use of digital tools and integrated language learning during the observed lessons and subsequent discussions. We are also ready to introduce the Estonian education system and, for our part, share the knowledge on the methods and digital environments used here.”
Il programma delle attività predisposto dal nostro team ha previsto la presentazione da parte degli studenti italiani dei principali aspetti storico-culturali della nostra isola, visite alle classi, attività degli studenti per la creazione e la definizione della mappa interattiva, visite extracurricolari ai principali siti di interesse storico e culturale della città di Palermo. Le attività di job shadowing si sono svolte nelle classi di alcuni dei docenti di inglese del nostro istituto.
